1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Brain Ripe app (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.

These terms apply to all users, worldwide, and govern your access to and use of the app.

2. App Description

Brain Ripe is a productivity and digital well-being app that uses Apple’s Screen Time API to help users reduce time spent on selected apps. Users can block selected apps, and must unlock them through a process that includes watching an ad or waiting through a countdown timer. Rankings are updated based on time spent in selected apps, and usage data is stored locally on the user’s device.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the app only for lawful and intended purposes. You are solely responsible for:

• The selection of apps you choose to block

• Your participation in the unlock process

• Managing your own device settings and permissions (e.g., notifications, tracking)

You agree not to misuse the app or attempt to interfere with its operation.

4. No Account or User-Generated Content

This app does not require user accounts, login, or passwords.

All usage data remains local on your device and is not shared with others.

The app does not support social features or public sharing. There is no cloud sync or server-side storage.

5. Internet Connectivity & Ads

Certain features, like ad-based unlocks, require an active internet connection. If you do not have internet access, a countdown timer will be used instead.

Ads are provided via Google AdMob. I do not control the content of ads, and I am not responsible for third-party services or links provided through these ads.

6. Consent for Ads (GDPR & Privacy Laws)

If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before seeing personalized ads. You can manage this via the consent dialog or your device settings.

7. Notifications

The app may send you push notifications as part of its functionality (e.g., reminders or status updates). You may control notification permissions in your device settings.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, code, and design in the app are the intellectual property of David Johansen. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or modify the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” I make no warranties or guarantees of performance, availability, or results.

I am not liable for:

• Any damages arising from use or inability to use the app

• Any interruptions or data loss

• Any third-party content (e.g., ads)

Use of the app is at your own risk.

10. Modifications to the App or Terms

I may update the app or these terms at any time. If I make changes, they will be reflected in the app store listing or within the app itself.

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany (or your country of residence if required by local law). Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
